Answer 2 :
I really wanted to be a tornado chaser after seeing the movie "Twister". Now I am an Air Force weather forecaster and will have my bachelor degree in meteorology at the end of this year. So, yes I'm doing weather as a career and could possibly go tornado chasing, but it's not my actual job.

Answer 6 :
I wanted to be a vet or veterinary nurse. My Dad couldn't afford to send me to uni, so the dream was a no goer before it started. I have ended up as a training manager/adviser/superviser for a very well known charity. (paid) It's not something I ever dreamed I would become and now have a career which is interesting and different every day. I love it. I also work for the NHS, which I really don't like.
Answer 7 :
As a child I wanted to be a vet, but due to being bullied & missing some school my grades were affected :( That idea went out of the window as I didn't pursue science subjects at college. When I got to 18 I had no idea what I wanted to do and at 23 I still don't! I'm a Receptionist which has never been my ambition and I've never really enjoyed the work. Now I'm thinking about a career with animals again, maybe a vet nurse! I realised recently that the welfare of animals is my true passion, and earning a good wage but being bored out of my mind is just not worth it!!
Answer 8 :
The first job I wanted to do was be an Archaeologist. Before I even knew what one was I used to spend all my time outside digging in the garden. All photos of me as a kid are with me with my trusty trowel.I can still hear my Mum shouting " gerrout of theat bleedin' soil!" lol I found loads of stuff which wasn't bad going for a council semi in Liverpool ;-) Did still want to be one aged 14 when choosing options only I was told by careers teacher that I would need A level maths. I'm crap at maths so.... Obviously went in a civil service nursing direction. Harumph.
Answer 9 :
I wanted to be a teacher - but I'm a nursery nurse. I think it's close enough, in the end it changed because actually I much prefer working with this age group than older kids.
Answer 10 :
I dreamed of having a huge office and making important decisions that made money---dream fuflilled except I am making that money for someone else. Currently I am working on trading in the big office for making sure the money I am making with my decisions goes to me...not the company. I want to be self employed by 2012
