Answer 1 :
accounting
Answer 2 :
Engineering of course. In engineering you need to use the principles from Linear Algebra, Calculus, Partial Differential Equations even Discrete math. You really need to understand the advanced math concepts and should have the capability to do math mental calculation and math modeling/programming in computer. . In Accounting you just need to understand basic algebra, but you need to do fast and precise mental calculations. if you hate math, avoid both.
Answer 3 :
there are several disciplines of engineering and some do NOT require maths or calculations. on the other hand, accounting cannot avoid the use of maths, even if it is generally basic maths. so select an engineering discipline that does not require (much) maths.
Answer 4 :
Engineering. Accountancy is just adding up
Answer 5 :
Accounting is more basic math, but an accountant is going to use math every day. To get an engineering degree, you take very difficult, high-level math courses. If you say that you don't like math, you won't make it. It's hard. Very hard. However, as an engineer, in my particular job, I rarely use any of the high-level math I've learned. But you need to be able to do the math to get through school.
Answer 6 :
Engineering has calculus, statistics, algebra, and optimisation. Accountancy has sums. However, if you go in to actuarial science, which is a specialised branch of accountancy, you'll do a lot of very heavy duty statistics and regression modelling.
Answer 7 :
engineering. accounting is basic maths, adding, multiplying and in the worst scenario finding percentage. in engineering requires more complicated maths like algebra, logarithms, geometry ect.

Is it easy to get my tax refunds myself?

Is it easy to get my tax refunds myself?

Answer 1 :
Your next payslip should sort it out. otherwise it's dead easy to get a tax refund. just fill in (last year's)? tax return
Answer 2 :
I've had the same problem myself a few times. They will eventually sort it out themselves, but this will usually be after the end of the tax year. If it is a large amount they sent you a cheque in the post, or for smaller amounts they give you a new tax code so you pay less tax next year. You can go down to your local tax office and ask them, but as tax is worked out on a yearly basis you would normally have to wait till April to get any money from them
Answer 3 :
If you're employed ask your employer to sort it out. Alternatively, or if you're self employed just ring your local tax office. There's really no need to pay an accountant to do this.
Answer 4 :
It depends if you are employed or self-employed, and you don't tell us which. If employed, you don't need an accountant. Contact tax office and ask what information is needed. I can't be more specific without further information. If you are self-employed, you won't get any refund until HMRC receive your Tax Return. Depending on complexity, you may need an accountant for that. An accountant would probably save you more money than he would cost.
Answer 5 :
If you are due a refund, there are 2 ways of claiming your tax back: (1) You can claim the tax back by contacting your local tax office, providing a P91 form, as well as your P60/P45s and P85/P86 if applicable. (2) Alternatively you can use an agency to help you. An agency such as: http://www.taxfix.co.uk they charge a fee once they have obtained a refund. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Just make sure that you get all the tax that you are due back and do not let the government keep it.
Answer 6 :
The answer to this depends on how complicated your tax affairs are. The route to a potential tax refund also depends on whether you are taxed under PAYE or Self Assessment or both. An accountant can certainly help and might also be able to make other tax savings for you. However if you want to get a refund yourself you can contact HM Revenue and Customs directly. Their contact details will be on your latest tax return or can be found at www.hmrc.gov.uk. Didn't pay any taxes for independent contractor works for the last six months. What to do?

Didn't pay any taxes for independent contractor works for the last six months. What to do?
Hi All, I am a freelance software testing engineer and by working on a project for the last six months, i made around 12K. I worked on it from May to October. I want to pay my taxes now as I got paid and I want to do it myself or through an accountant. Please suggest me how to do it and even i lost my invoice, so i don't have any relevant paper of my income. Regards, Sam

Answer 1 :
You wont need the invoice for you have the cheque or at least a record of it in your bank statement! You need an accountant. When you have found him/her, he/she will tell you what you need to give them and what they are gonna charge you and you can turn it all over to him/her! How nice not to have to worry about it. However do make sure that they actually do the work and pay your tax bill, for the responsibility is still yours!
Answer 2 :
Get duplicate invoices if you can't get someone to fill your taxes for you ,some will do it ,some will not.You will have quite a few dollars to pay in taxes i hope you saved some.
Answer 3 :
First reconstruct your income. Ideally, you deposited each payment in full in a checking or savings account and didn't do cash back deposits so they are short. In the US, what you need to do is figure out if you must pay estimated taxes if you will owe more that $1,000 in taxes next April 15th. If you have no other income or a similar amount for the rest of the year, you are unlikely to owe more and can just file. You have missed the first 3 estimated dates and thus will have to pay by January 15th if you are going to pay. You need to work out the Schedule C to see what expenses you can deduct and the SE for Social Security taxes. As an independent contractor, you have to pay both sides of the tax (what the employer pays plus what the employer deducts) but as a self employed person, you can deduct about half of it on the Schedule C just like an employer does. It isn't hard, just tedious.
Answer 4 :
Calculate your gross income and deduct all of your buiness expense and file a form 1040ES for the estimated tax due. You will owe 15.3% for your self-employment social security and medicare plus income tax which varies based on exemptions, deductions and other income aside from that work. The company you worked for should issue a 1099MISC, so they would have to keep a record of what they paid you, so you could call their accounting department to see what you made. You could also add your bank deposits if you deposited the money. You could look through your bank statements and check stubs to see what your income and expenses were.

In a word, "yes" (of course any bills due etc. also need to be accounted for == so you can't just take out half the bank balance each or the business will be bust as soon as the next bill comes in) When you signed the Partnership Agreement it should have been stated how profits would be split and (when paid out) .. It usual for Partners to agree in advance that any profits for the X initial years will be retained to grow the business (and they may agree only to withdraw X% of the profit in future ..)
